With a strong foothold in the sciences (Lisa has her BS in Geology from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and an MS in Geological Sciences from the University of Florida), she approaches each patient methodically to solve musculoskeletal symptoms. This background also lays the foundation for experimentation and continued curiosity in her treatments.

After graduating from the Cortiva Institute in Watertown, MA, Lisa quickly dove into studying orthopedic massage, achieving an additional 100-hour national certification through James Waslaski’s Center for Pain Management. Eager for more education in pain management, Lisa earned her Manual Trigger Point Therapy with Myopain Seminars, NeuroMuscular Therapy - American Version and has almost completed her Precision Neuromuscular Therapy Certification. She has recently added massage cupping, IASTM and kinesiotaping through FMT+ (Functional Movement Training) as treatment options.

Lisa and Sarah are the instructors of the Manual Trigger Point Therapy seminar series at Myopain Seminars offered in locations across the country.

Lisa volunteers in the Government Relations committee of the Mass Chapter of American Massage Therapy Association and is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain.

When away from the clinic, Lisa can be found running around in the woods. As an ultra-runner she spends hours exploring the trails of New England’s parks, reserves, and preserves. Knowing the importance of cross-training, she trains with Capital District Sport & Fitness and consults with Jean Gillis Wellness for endurance coaching.
